IRFP Presents: Arvin Radio

Arvin Radio

I've never done any circuit bending, but this is the closest. I added a power supply so you could plug it into the wall, but I made the voltage too high and the current too low, so that when you turn up the volume it starts acting crazy. I also tuned the coils to some extremes so that it wouldn't really get any one station any more, just parasitics and hash. I didn't really take the radio seriously until I used it in a performance of "There's something wrong with my radio" at an audition for a play, and I got the part and started getting a salary! I put it in the Boom Box show, then someone bought it. I was sad so I started collecting messed-up radios, now I have thirty!
